It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved friend, Dayna Franklin, celebrated Los Angeles-based drummer, succumbed to her lengthy and valiant battle with cancer on August 19th, 2008.

Dayna was the long time drummer for the Imaginary Friends band, as well as for the multicultural female group Adaawe. Her work in the industry and CD releases with Imaginary Friends and Stacy Robin, earned Dayna a grant with The Recording Academy's “Music Cares Foundation”.

She was honored by of City of Hope where spent years as not only as a patient but also as their spokesperson.

We miss her very much.
